Share

Safaricom has launched a new customer campaign dubbed PATA MORE, introducing enhanced data bundles, new M-PESA Pochi La Biashara charges, and more.

The campaign, launched on July 31, 2026, aims to provide its customers with more value for their money across Safaricom connectivity products and M-Pesa services.

According to Safaricom, under the latest new offers, customers will now receive 250 MB of data for Ksh 20, valid for 2 hours, up from the previous 150 MB.

The Ksh 99 daily bundle has also been increased from 1GB to 1.5 GB, while the Ksh 1000 monthly bundle has been increased from 10 MB up to 21.5 GB.

Changes Introduced in Pochi La Biashara

Safaricom has also introduced changes to Pochi La Biashara, which allows customers to send up to Ksh 200 through Pochi Kadogo, which is free of charge; this is an increase from the previous 100 limit.

For transactions that are above Ksh 200, the transaction charges will be capped at Ksh 50 for the next ninety days.

Additionally, Safaricom has also raised the Lipa na M-pesa Buy Goods Kadogo Threshold from Ksh 200 to Ksh 500; this move is aimed at helping small businesses retain more earnings as digital payments grow.

In addition, merchants will have access to Scan and Tap to Pay, which Safaricom says will make checkout processes faster, smoother, and also convenient.

Devices Purchase

Customers who purchase devices through Safaricom will receive additional value through bundled data, voice services and device insurance.

Furthermore, Safaricom stated the Neon Ultra 2 smartphone will be available through daily repayments of Ksh 55 and will also include insurance.

For the drivers and motorcycle riders who use Bundle ya Dereva/Boda, Safaricom has introduced packages which combine connectivity with work-related services such as free access to Google Maps and Tuunza Mapato Insurance.

On the other hand, home internet users are also set to benefit, with Safaricom announcing fibre internet speeds that are up to 2.5 times faster across various plans.

Remarks from Safaricom CEO

CEO of Safaricom Peter Ndegwa said that the campaign was designed to respond to their customers’ everyday needs.

“We understand that every choice our customers make matters, whether it is staying connected, sending money, running a business or supporting their families. That is why we continue to listen closely and respond with solutions that offer practical, everyday value,” he said.
