The search is on for a woman who, according to reports, allegedly killed her househelp after a domestic fight in the Cieko region of Kasarani.
Reports from the area indicate that the woman, named Julian Kamau, went back home only to discover that her husband was sleeping with the househelp.
The discovery reportedly led to a fierce fight between the two, which ended with the murder of the househelp, whose body was found inside the house.
Authorities have begun looking into the matter to find out what transpired while also trying to get information about the motive behind the killing.
It is alleged that the woman escaped from the house soon after the fight.
The heart of the story lies in the presence of the child during the event, who is now in police custody after being identified as an eyewitness to the disturbing event that took place.
The child is believed to have witnessed everything that occurred.

Commenting on the incident, Ouma Neko condemned the alleged killing and warned that the country was witnessing a dangerous rise in unchecked domestic violence.
“A disturbing and painful incident has been reported in Kasarani’s Cieko area, where a woman allegedly took the life of her househelp over suspicions of an affair with her husband,” he said.
“If this is true, then we are staring at a terrifying breakdown of humanity, justice and emotional control in our homes,” he added.

Neko further stated that no form of betrayal or suspicion could justify taking another person’s life.
“No suspicion, no betrayal, no anger should ever justify murder. Ever. A life has been lost. A family is shattered. Another girl who went to work to earn a living will never return home,” he said.
He described the incident as more than just a domestic dispute, saying it reflected a broader societal problem that required urgent attention.
“This is not just a ‘domestic issue’ anymore — it is a national alarm on unchecked violence, jealousy and impunity inside our households. We must confront this rot before more innocent lives are buried in silence,” he said.
