DCI Sends Warning to Transit Drivers After Highway Attack

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has urged drivers transporting newly imported transit vehicles to stay alert following a violent robbery incident along the Mombasa–Kampala highway. Investigators report that the attack occurred on May 6, 2026, near Mutomo area in Mtito Andei. A driver ferrying a Subaru Impreza from Mombasa to Kampala encountered armed criminals
