U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a sharp warning to Iran following missile strikes that damaged key gas infrastructure in Qatar, signaling a dangerous escalation in the region.
Iran’s reported missile attacks targeted facilities linked to the massive Ras Laffan Industrial City, one of the world’s most important liquefied natural gas (LNG) export centers.
The strikes are believed to be retaliation for earlier attacks on the shared South Pars Gas Field.
In a strongly worded statement, Trump claimed Israel had struck the Iranian facility without U.S. knowledge.
“The United States knew nothing about this particular attack, and the country of Qatar was in no way, shape, or form, involved with it, nor did it have any idea that it was going to happen,” Trump said.
He added that Iran responded without full knowledge of the situation.
“Unfortunately, Iran did not know this… and unjustifiably and unfairly attacked a portion of Qatar’s LNG gas facility.”

Trump warned Tehran against further escalation, suggesting devastating consequences if Qatar is targeted again.
“NO MORE ATTACKS WILL BE MADE… unless Iran unwisely decides to attack a very innocent… Qatar,” he stated.
He further issued a stark threat:
“The United States of America… will massively blow up the entirety of the South Pars Gas Field at an amount of strength and power that Iran has never seen or witnessed before.”
However, he signaled reluctance to escalate further unless provoked:
“I do not want to authorize this level of violence and destruction… but if Qatar’s LNG is again attacked, I will not hesitate to do so.”
The crisis has triggered swift diplomatic consequences, with Qatar expelling Iranian military attachés.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia condemned the strikes while reserving the right to respond.
