The County Government of Taita Taveta has announced 31 vacant positions in the county public service, targeting professionals across key sectors including, health services, economic planning, finance, and the office of the governor.
In a notice issued by the County Public Service Board dated April 27 2026, qualified Kenyan citizens have been invited to apply for the listed positions.
In the Office of the Governor, Taita Taveta is seeking to recruit one County Chief Officer for Livestock Development. The position will be offered on a two-year contract.
On the other hand the Department of Health Services has the majority of the vacancies, all of which are on permanent terms.
Among the senior roles advertised is one position for Senior Deputy Chief Health Administrative Officer.
The county is also looking to fill one post for Chief Registered Nurse.
At the mid-level, two Nutrition and Dietetics Officers are required.
In addition, one Health Administrative Officer I position has been advertised.
Clinical service delivery roles form a significant portion of the vacancies.
The Taita Taveta County is recruiting three Registered Clinical Officers II, alongside ten Kenya Registered Nurses II.
Further, one Medical Social Worker III is required.
Taita Taveta is also seeking to hire two Orthopedic Technologists III and one Assistant Physiotherapist III.
Public health services has advertised the vacancies of five Assistant Public Health Officers.
Additionally, one Medical Laboratory Technologist III and one Sonographer II have been advertised to support diagnostic services within county health facilities.

Separately, the Department of Finance and Economic Planning has an addendum vacancy for one Assistant Director of Internal Audit. This position is also on permanent terms.
Applicants interested are required to submit their applications to the CEO of the County Public Service Board.
Submissions can be made through hand delivery at the Board’s offices or via the provided postal address.
The Board has set May 18, 2026, as the deadline for these applications.
The candidates are required to clearly indicate the position applied for and attach copies of their national identification documents, academic certificates, and professional testimonials.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the board for an interview.

The Board has warned that canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification and cautioned applicants against fraudsters.
The board noted that no fees are charged during the recruitment process.
Youth, women, and persons with disabilities have been encouraged to apply for the jobs.
