NSSF Announces Mass Internship Opportunities for Diploma and Degree Graduates

The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has announced mass internship opportunities for diploma and degree graduates.

In a statement dated Thursday, April 30, 2026, the Fund called on qualified candidates to apply for its 2026/2027 Internship Programme.

“The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) invites applications for its 2026/2027 Internship Programme,” read part of the statement.

According to NSSF, the one-year programme offers young Kenyan graduates an opportunity to gain practical, on-the-job experience in line with the government’s Youth Development Initiative. Successful applicants will be placed at the head office and various branches across the country.

Basic Requirements for NSSF Internship Programme

Suitable candidates must:

  • Be in possession of a diploma or first degree from an accredited institution, and have the relevant certificate.
  • Be an unemployed Kenyan youth aged between 20 and 34 years.

  • Have graduated within the last five (5) years from the closing date of the internship advertisement;
  • Provide a recommendation or reference letter from the institution attended.
  • Not have undertaken any other internship programme or gained work experience since graduation.
  • Be available for the entire one-year internship period.

Personal Attributes

Suitable candidates must:

  • Be persons of high integrity.
  • Be goal-oriented, dynamic, self-driven, and diligent.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be proficient in ICT;
  • Be team players.

Duties will be assigned by the respective Heads of Department or supervisors upon appointment.

Application Procedure

Interested candidates who meet the above requirements should submit their applications online (https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/SpykCNNivv )by creating and completing their profile, then uploading the following documents: a copy of their degree or diploma certificate, an application letter, CV, national ID copy, and a recommendation letter.

Before applying:

  • Ensure your National ID or passport copy, CV, and academic certificate are saved as PDF files and zipped into one folder named: FullName_IDNumber.zip (e.g., Jane_Odhiambo_31234567.zip);
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered during shortlisting.

All applications must be submitted online on or before the close of business on Friday, May 22, 2026. Incomplete or hard copy applications will not be considered.

Additional Guidelines by the Fund

  • The Fund does not guarantee employment after completion of the internship programme.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete the full one-year internship without a break.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
