PSC Announces 764 Job Opportunities Across Ministries and State Departments

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced 764 job vacancies across various ministries and state departments.
In a notice dated Tuesday, May 5, 2026, PSC invited qualified Kenyans to apply for the advertised positions across key government sectors.
“Applications are invited from qualified persons for the positions shown below,” read part of the notice.
The vacancies are categorised into promotional positions (senior roles) and entry-level positions, targeting a wide range of qualifications and experience levels.
Breakdown of Vacancies Advertised by PSC
The breakdown of these vacancies is as follows:
- Promotional Positions: There are 493 vacancies listed across 100 different positions (Vacancy numbers 15/2026 through 114/2026),
- Entry-Level Positions: There are 270 vacancies listed across 15 different positions (Vacancy numbers 115/2026 through 129/2026).

The advertised positions span several ministries, including:
- Internal Security and National Administration
- Roads and Public Works
- Housing and Urban Development
- Agriculture and Livestock
- Broadcasting and Telecommunications
- Foreign Affairs and Trade
Among the senior roles, PSC listed positions such as Directors, Deputy Directors, Engineers, and Secretaries, mainly under Grades 4 to 7.
Notably, the Broadcasting and Telecommunications department has a significant number of vacancies, including 25 positions for Director of Public Communications and 15 Deputy Director roles.
Entry-Level Positions (Grades 10–12)
PSC has also advertised several entry-level positions, offering opportunities for fresh graduates and early-career professionals.

How to Apply
PSC requires all applications to be submitted online only. Here’s the process:
- Visit the official PSC website: www.publicservice.go.ke
OR the jobs portal: www.psckjobs.go.ke - Navigate to the “Careers” or “Jobs” section.
- Select the position you wish to apply for and carefully read the requirements.
- Create an account (if you are a new user) or log in.
- Fill in the application form and upload the required documents, including:
- National ID
- Academic certificates
- Professional certificates (where applicable)
- Submit your application before the deadline.
The deadline for the application is on May 26, 2026, at 5:00 PM (EAT)
Important Guidelines from the Commission
PSC stressed that recruitment will be conducted in line with the constitutional principles of:
- Fair competition
- Merit
- Inclusivity and equal opportunity
The Commission encouraged persons with disabilities, marginalised communities, and minorities to apply.
Applicants were also warned that:
- Submitting fake documents is a criminal offence
- Providing false information leads to disqualification
- PSC does not charge any fee at any stage of recruitment
Members of the public are advised to beware of fraudsters posing as PSC officials.
