National Council for Children’s Services Announces 21 Job Vacancies: How to Apply

The National Council for Children’s Services (NCCS) has announced multiple job vacancies across departments, inviting qualified candidates to apply for positions within the institution.

In an advert on May 5, 2026, the NCCS said it is seeking to fill 15 vacant positions as part of efforts to strengthen its operational capacity.

NCCS is established under Section 41 of the Children Act, 2022, with a mandate to regulate, coordinate, and oversee children’s services in Kenya, as well as advise the government on all matters relating to children.

Among the senior positions advertised are Deputy Director roles in Finance and Accounts and Supply Chain Management, each with one vacancy at job grade NCCS 3.

Senior Positions

The NCCS is also recruiting a Principal Internal Auditor and a Principal Compliance Officer with five vacancies.

Other vacancies advertised include Principal Human Resource Management and Development Officer, and Principal Planning and Strategy Officer, all of which are at job grade NCCS 5.

More vacant positions include Senior Compliance Officer with three vacancies, Senior Information Communications Technology Officer, and Senior Corporate Communication Officer at job grade NCCS 6.

Mid-Level Positions

At the mid and entry levels, NCCS has advertised positions for an Office Administrator II, Senior Driver, and Accounts Officer II at job grade NCCS 8.

Additional opportunities are available for Records Management Assistant III at job grade NCCS 9, Driver III at job grade NCCS 11, and Office Assistant III at job grade NCCS 12.

The NCCS stated that all the advertised positions are on permanent and pensionable terms.

Requirements

Interested candidates are required to submit their applications online through the NCCS recruitment portal. Physical applications will not be accepted.

The NCCS also provided an official email address to applicants for inquiries and questions which are related to the application process.

NCCS further stated in the notice that applications must be received on or before May 25, 2026, which is the deadline for applications.
