Nyandarua County Announces 174 Job Opportunities: How to Apply

Nyandarua County Government has announced 174 job vacancies and invited qualified candidates to apply.

The County Public Service Board announced 174 job vacancies under Advert Number 02/2026.

The recruitment drive includes three Chief Officer positions and 171 other staff positions across key county departments.

The announcement stated that the board was seeking suitably qualified, competent, and experienced persons to fill the available positions.

Among the Chief Officer positions advertised are Youth Affairs, Sports and Innovation; Water and Sanitation; and Education and Vocational Training.

Each of the three departments has one vacancy, bringing the total number of Chief Officer openings to three.

Nyandarua Health Department Gets the Highest Number Of Vacancies

The staff recruitment section has attracted the largest share of the advertised jobs, with the Health Services department receiving 76 positions.

Agriculture, Agribusiness, Livestock, and Fisheries follows with 19 vacancies, while Education, Vocational Training, Culture, Gender, and Social Protection have 21 available positions.

County Secretary and Head of Public Service department has eight vacancies, while Roads, Transport, Energy and Public Works have nine openings.

The Public Service, Administration, and Devolution department has four positions available.

Finance, Economic Planning, Revenue, and ICT departments have announced 27 vacancies, making it one of the departments with the highest number of openings.

Other departments listed include Trade, Industrialization, Cooperative Development, and Partnership with three positions; and Water, Sanitation, Environment, Tourism, Natural Resources, and Climate Change with four positions.

“Detailed job descriptions, qualifications, duties, and requirements for each position are available on the County Government website,” the notice stated.

Application Procedure and Deadline

Candidates who wish to take up the above positions will need to fill out the Nyandarua County Government Application for Employment Form, which can be downloaded from its website.

They are supposed to submit relevant documents, including:

Curriculum Vitae,
National ID,
Educational and professional certificates,
Testimonials.

The applicants are supposed to indicate the post they wish to apply for on their completed applications, which should be submitted either by hand delivery or via registered mail.

Hand deliveries should be addressed to the Secretary, County Public Service Board, P. O. Box 38-20303, Ol’Kalou, Kenya.

Hand-delivered applications are supposed to be delivered personally at the County Public Service Board, Office, Posta House 2nd Floor, Ol’Kalou Town.

The last date for submission of the applications will be Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

Among other guidelines, the board clarified that only the short-listed candidates will receive calls for further process, while successful candidates will meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.

It was noted in the announcement that canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.

Furthermore, women, youth, people living with disabilities, marginalized and minority groups are encouraged to apply.
