Popular comedian Mulamwah has opened up about his strained relationship with fellow comedian and media personality Oga Obinna, revealing that he blocked him on social media and has no intention of working with him again.

Speaking during an interview on the 1M Podcast hosted by Tony Mwirigi, Mulamwah said the fallout was not driven by hatred but by differences in values and outlook.

“Vibe haziendani…. simchukii, ni vile values zangu na zake hazipelekani,” he said.

Why Mulamwah Blocked Oga Obinna

According to Mulamwah, his decision to block Obinna was influenced by several incidents that convinced him their relationship could no longer continue.

He said some actions and comments made by Obinna crossed boundaries that he considers important.

“Ni hizo tu mambo mingi mingi, hizo ziko self-explanatory, vibe like haiendani, yeye anaweza fanya kitu aone ziko correct na mimi kwangu is not correct sawa, so it’s not a matter of ati tunachukiana ama nini… views hazipelekani,” he said.

Mulamwah maintained that he does not hate Obinna but believes they have incompatible values and should keep their distance from each other.

He also linked the fallout to remarks made about his son during an interaction involving Obinna and content creator Dem wa Facebook.

The incident attracted attention online after Dem wa Facebook allegedly compared Mulamwah’s son to the late comedian Papa Shirandula while Obinna was present and reportedly laughed during the exchange.

He said he viewed the incident negatively and has previously cited it as one of the reasons he chose to distance himself from Obinna.

No Interest in Future Collaborations

Despite both being established figures in Kenya’s entertainment industry, Mulamwah said he has no plans to collaborate with Obinna in the future.

He indicated that he is comfortable with the possibility that their professional paths may never cross again, adding that he would avoid sharing certain opportunities with Obinna if given a choice.

Responding to a question on whether he would travel on the same flight as Obinna during a creatives’ trip to China, Mulamwah said he would rather postpone his travel plans.

“Nitaenda next… hiyo sasa nitaenda ingine… China haitoroki,” he remarked.

The fallout between the two entertainers dates back about a year, when Obinna publicly disclosed that he had discovered Mulamwah had blocked him.

Elsewhere, Obinna missed Mulamwah’s comedy show, noting that the latter had blocked him.

It didn’t end there. Obinna also walked out of a live TV interview when he was asked about his beef with Mulamwah.
