Controversial media personality Andrew Kibe has criticised fellow media personality Dr Ofweneke after an episode of the Lessons at 30 podcast featuring him was deleted.
Reacting to the move on social media on Saturday, June 27 2026, Kibe claimed the episode had been pulled down because of public pressure.
“Ofweneke was forced to delete our podcast because of the ‘pressure.’ Shame on him!” Kibe wrote.
The deleted episode sparked online criticism after Kibe made remarks about musician Stevo Simple Boy that many Kenyans considered offensive.
During the interview, Kibe suggested that people like Stevo Simple Boy should not have children.
The comments shifted the discussion away from Stevo’s music and focused on personal attributes such as his appearance and circumstances of birth, drawing widespread backlash from Kenyans.

Following the criticism, Dr Ofweneke removed the interview from his YouTube channel and later shared a public apology.
Rather than placing the blame on Kibe, Ofweneke took responsibility as the show’s host, saying he should have intervened during the conversation.
“I should have stepped in and defended Stevo during the conversation,” he said. “As his brother, as a co-entertainer, I did fail Stevo by not protecting him.”
Stevo Simple Boy later responded to the controversy on social media, saying he did not choose how he was born but had chosen to be respectful and hardworking.
“I did not choose the way I was born, but

He continued to remind Kenyan internet users that, as much as they never choose the way they were born nor the background in which they grew up, they should choose the way they treat fellow beings.
Andrew Kibe built his platform around “brutal honesty,” his take-no-prisoners bluntness, his sharpness, and his biting commentary.
Public Discourse and Character
On this particular occasion, however, many questioned whether he had just stepped over the line between honesty and downright malice.
