Thousands of students can now find out the universities and colleges they have been placed in after the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) officially released the 2026 placement results.

Education CS Julius Ogamba said a total of 293,869 students have been placed in degree, Level 6 diploma, Level 5 craft certificate, and Level 4 artisan certificate programmes. Of these, 202,133 have been placed in degree programmes.

The placement exercise covers students who applied for degree, diploma, certificate, and artisan programmes after the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination.

KUCCPS Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Agnes Mercy Wahome announced on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.

This marks the completion of the national placement process ahead of student admission to various institutions.

KUCCPS had earlier indicated that placement would be based on applicants’ KCSE performance, programme choices, available capacity in institutions, and merit.

How to Check Your KUCCPS Placement Results

Candidates can check their placement results through the KUCCPS Student Portal by:

  • Logging in using their KCSE Index Number, KCSE year, and password
  • Opening the placement results section
  • Viewing the institution and course they have been placed in

Applicants can also obtain assistance through KUCCPS offices and Huduma Centres across the country.

What Happens After Placement?

Students who have been successfully placed are expected to wait for admission letters and reporting instructions from their respective universities and colleges.

The institutions will communicate reporting dates, admission requirements, and registration procedures before the September intake.
