A family is seeking justice after their kin was reportedly pushed from the sixth floor of an apartment in Thome, Kasarani, Nairobi, on Saturday morning, July 4, 2026.
According to the family, their relative, Nicole Omondi, who is currently receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), has accused a female police officer, believed to be her girlfriend and reportedly serving as an Officer Commanding Station (OCS), of pushing her from the balcony.
The family says the incident occurred after an argument allegedly broke out between the two at the apartment.
During the altercation, they claim Nicole managed to call her father while crying and reportedly told him she was being physically assaulted before the call was abruptly disconnected.
Family Recounts Moments Before the Fall
Relatives further allege that when Nicole’s father called back moments later, the phone was answered by the female officer, who allegedly told him she was “disciplining” Nicole before ending the call.
Shortly afterwards, Nicole reportedly fell from the sixth-floor balcony, sustaining multiple fractures and other serious injuries. She was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital by emergency responders after a Good Samaritan alerted them to the incident.

The family says that while receiving medical attention, Nicole requested that her sister and a close friend be contacted, which is how they learned about what had happened.
They further allege that the officer later appeared at the hospital but left after being confronted by family members.
The family has also raised concerns over the handling of the matter, claiming that when they sought assistance, they were informed by the OCS at Kasarani Police Station that “nothing can happen to her.”
Nicole remains admitted to Kenyatta National Hospital, awaiting surgery as she continues to recover from her injuries.
The family is now calling on the relevant authorities to conduct a swift, thorough, and impartial investigation into the incident and ensure that those found responsible are held accountable.
