The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced a temporary disruption of some of its online voter services as it undertakes a routine upgrade of its Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems.
In a public notice, the commission said the upgrade is aimed at enhancing the reliability, security, and overall performance of its services. As a result, online voter search services available through the voter verification portal, voter transfers, and requests for changes to voter particulars will be temporarily unavailable.
“The Commission wishes to inform stakeholders and members of the public that we are currently undertaking a routine upgrade of our ICT systems to enhance reliability, security, and performance of our services. Consequently, this exercise will temporarily affect public voter search services available through http://verify.iebc.or.ke; voter transfers and change of particulars,” the Commission said.

However, the IEBC assured the public that ongoing voter registration will continue without interruption at all 290 constituency offices, Huduma Centres, and the Customer Experience Centre at Anniversary Towers in Nairobi.
The commission said it will notify stakeholders and members of the public once the system upgrade is complete and the affected services have been fully restored. It also thanked Kenyans for their patience and understanding during the maintenance period.
