Rongo University Announces 22 Job Vacancies: Qualifications, Requirements and How to Apply

Rongo University has advertised 22 job vacancies across its administrative and academic departments and is inviting qualified applicants to apply.

In a job vacancy notice issued on July 14 2026, by the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Finance and Planning, the university announced opportunities in both administrative and teaching positions.

Under the administrative category, Rongo University is seeking to recruit one Medical Officer at Grade RU 12.

The University is also hiring one Assistant Pharmaceutical Technologist I at Grade RU 8, two Technician II officers at Grade RU 7, five Administrative Assistant II officers at Grade RU 7, and five Clerical Officer II staff at Grade RU 5.

Academic Positions

For the academic positions, Rongo University has advertised one Senior Lecturer position in Nursing at Grade RU 13.

The university is also recruiting one Lecturer each in Physical Education, Performing Arts, Mining, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and Broadcast Media. All the lecturer positions are at Grade RU 12.

In addition, the institution has re-advertised two lecturer positions. These include Lecturer in Special Needs Education Hearing Impairment and Lecturer in Technology Education Computer Studies, both at Grade RU 12.

According to the notice, interested applicants are required to submit ten copies of their application documents, including copies of their academic and professional certificates and other relevant testimonials, in line with the university’s application requirements.

Requirements

Applicants should also reach out to their referees and request them to send reference letters in sealed envelopes.

The notice says applications must be addressed to the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration, Finance and Planning, P.O. BOX 103-40404 Rongo.

Applicants are advised to indicate the correct reference number for the position they are applying for and to submit the applications on or before July 27 at 5.00. P.m. applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

Rongo University said it is an equal opportunity employer and encouraged people with disabilities and those from marginalized communities to apply.

The university further said that only applicants who have been shortlisted will be contacted, while discouraging any form of canvassing, which will lead to disqualification.
