Nursing Council of Kenya Announces Job Vacancies: Positions Available and How to Apply

The Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) has opened applications for 15 vacancies across various departments, inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply for positions by August 10, 2026.
In a notice dated July 21, the Nursing Council said it is seeking highly competent, passionate, dedicated and result-oriented individuals to support its mandate of regulating nursing education and practice in Kenya.
Established under the Nurses and Midwives Act, Cap 257 of the Laws of Kenya, the Nursing Council of Kenya is responsible for overseeing nursing education, registration, licensing and professional practice in the country.
“The Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) is a body corporate established under the Nurses and Midwives Act, Cap 257 of the Laws of Kenya, whose mandate is to regulate nursing education and practice. We are seeking to recruit highly competent, passionate, dedicated and result-oriented individuals to fill the following exciting and challenging vacant positions,” read part of the notice.
Nursing Council of Kenya Announces Multiple Job Vacancies
According to the notice, among the vacancies advertised are Director of Registration and Licensing, Corporate Secretary and Director of Legal Services, and Director of Corporate Services.
Additionally, the Council is seeking to recruit a Deputy Director for Research, Strategy, Planning and Performance Management, alongside a Deputy Director for Human Resources and Administration.

Nursing Council has also advertised several technical and support positions, including Senior Corporate Communication Officer, Corporate Communication Officer, Registration and Licensing Officer, Education and Examination Officer, Standards and Compliance Officer, Customer Care Assistant and Senior, Office Administrator and Office Assistant.

How to Apply
The Nursing Council said detailed job descriptions and application procedures are available on its official website and the MyJobsInKenya portal.
Interested candidates are required to submit their applications as a single PDF document via email to careers@nckenya.go.ke by Monday, August 10, 2026.

In addition, the council said it is committed to equal employment opportunities and is seeking to build a diverse workforce by encouraging applications from women, persons living with disabilities and members of marginalized communities.
The Nursing Council further noted that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and cautioned applicants against canvassing, stating that any form of influence or lobbying will result in automatic disqualification.
