KMTC Reopens September Applications How to Apply

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has reopened applications for a few courses that still have places available for the September 2026 intake.

In an announcement on X on Monday, 31st Augst 2026, KMTC stated that the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has reopened its portal for students who didn’t get a chance to apply.

“Applications are open again! KUCCPS has reopened applications for selected KMTC courses with available vacancies for the September 2026 intake. If you missed the earlier application window, this is another opportunity to begin your journey towards a career in healthcare,” the college said

The first application date for the September intake opened on 24 th July and closed on 11 th August 2026.

The new application date window is for those programmes where spaces are still available.

How to apply:

Pre-service (Certificate and Diploma): Apply through the KUCCPS Student Portal – http://students.kuccps.net
Higher diploma/ In- service and upgrading programmes. Use the KMTC Admissions Portal to apply online- http://admissions.kmtc.ac.ke/login

Applicants will have to make use of the correct application platform according to the programme they wish to follow.

Pre-service Programmes: Applicants who are applying for certificate and diploma courses are to apply via KUCCPS Student Portal.

This application system enables applicants to choose the KMTC programme of their choice in those that have vacancies.

For the higher-level training, those applicants applying for Higher Diploma, in-service and upgrading programmes should apply through the KMTC Admissions Portal.

The Kenya Medical Training Colleges (KMTC) has instructed prospective students to always check the portal for the courses with available places before applying.

Furthermore, the institution has also advised future students to apply for admission through the authorized application sites only.

For those applying to preservice certificate and diploma programmes, use the KUCCPS Student Portal, and those applying for Higher Diploma, in-service, and upgrading programmes should use the KMTC Admissions Portal.

According to KMTC, Applicants should be careful when submitting their applications and use the official portals for information.

The re-entry offers students who missed the application deadline during the first window another chance to enroll in any of the available KMTC programmes at the September 2026 intake.
