Sharp Boys Strike Again as Kenya Power’s X Account is Hacked

Kenya Power’s official X account has been hacked, with the compromised page publishing a post promoting a cryptocurrency allocation linked to HYPE Season 2.
The post announced that a “$HYPE Season 2 — allocation checker” was live, claiming eligible users could preview their tier and estimated allocation ahead of the claims opening.
“Claims open October 10 at 1:00 PM UTC,” the post stated, adding that users could preview their allocation before the official claims began.
The post further listed activities it claimed could count towards eligibility, including trading on Hyperliquid, HYPE staking, lending, vault and DEX exposure on recognised HyperEVM protocols, as well as consistent ecosystem participation.
