Kenya Meteorological Department (Kenya Met) has issued a seven-day weather forecast for November 18th to 24th, 2025.

In a forecast published on November 17, Kenya Met said most parts of the country are likely to be sunny and dry.

However, rainfall is expected in some parts of the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley, the Coast, the South-eastern lowlands, and North-eastern Kenya.

Kenya Met said during daytime, maximum average temperatures of more than 30°C are expected in the Coast, North-eastern and North-western Kenya, as well as over some parts of the South-eastern lowlands, the Rift Valley and the Highlands West of the Rift Valley.

In addition, night-time minimum average temperatures are expected to be less than 10°C in some parts of the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Rift Valley, and in the vicinity of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Highlands West of the Rift Valley & Lake Victoria Basin

Morning rains, as well as afternoon and night showers, together with thunderstorms, are likely to occur over a few places.

Sunny intervals are expected during the day, with partly cloudy conditions at night.

This region comprises of counties like Nandi, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Siaya, Busia, Baringo, Nakuru, Trans-Nzoia, Uasin-Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, West-Pokot, Kisii, Nyamira, Kericho, Bomet, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, and Narok.

North-western Kenya

Turkana and Samburu Counties are likely to experience sunny intervals during the day, with partly cloudy conditions at night.

Highlands East of the Rift Valley

The region comprises Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka-Nithi and Nairobi Counties.

According to Kenya Met, sunny intervals are expected during the day.

Nights will be partly cloudy.

However, there is a chance of afternoon showers occurring in a few places.

North-eastern Kenya

This region has five counties, which include Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, and Isiolo.

Morning rains are likely to occur.

Afternoon showers may occur in a few places.

Sunny intervals are expected during the day, with partly cloudy conditions at night.

The South-eastern lowlands

Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Kajiado, and Taita-Taveta Counties, as well as the inland parts of Tana-River, are counties in this region.

In the morning, rain may occur in a few places.

Sunny intervals are expected during the day, with partly cloudy conditions at night.

At the same time, night showers may occur over a few places.

The Coast

Morning and afternoon showers are likely to occur over a few places

Sunny intervals are expected during the day..

Nights will be partly cloudy.

Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, and Kwale Counties, as well as the coastal parts of Tana River, are counties found in the coastal region.
