Nakuru County Announces 82 Vacancies Across Multiple Departments

Nakuru County Government has advertised 82 job vacancies across several departments, including administration, infrastructure, agriculture, and public service management.
In a notice dated Saturday, October 10, 2026, the County Government called on qualified candidates to apply.
“Pursuant to the provisions of Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya and Section 59 of the County Governments Act, Chapter 265 of the Laws of Kenya, the Nakuru County Public Service Board invites applications from qualified Kenyan citizens to fill the following vacant positions,” read part of the notice.

The recruitment drive includes 24 Youth Polytechnic Instructor positions, five Information Communication Technology (ICT) Officer III positions, and five Assistant Agricultural Officer III positions, among other opportunities.
The Nakuru County Public Service Board published the vacancies under five separate advertisements covering the County Public Service Board, Molo Municipality and three county government departments.
Nakuru County Lists Administrative and Technical Jobs
Under Advert No. 16/2026, the County Public Service Board is seeking to recruit a Senior Assistant Director and an Assistant Director of Human Resource Management and Development, alongside a Records Management Officer II and a Driver III.
Molo Municipality has eight categories of vacancies, including four Clerical Officer II positions, two Building Inspector (Civil) positions and openings for an ICT Officer II, Environment Officer, Administration Officer II, Assistant Office Administrative Officer III and Driver III.
Meanwhile, the Department of Infrastructure is recruiting a Structural Assistant III, Quantity Survey Assistant III, Architectural Assistant III, two Inspectors (Electrical) and three Plant Operator III personnel.
Agriculture and Education Departments Have Multiple Openings
The Department of Education, ICT, e-Government and Public Communication has advertised five ICT Officer III positions and 24 Youth Polytechnic Instructor III vacancies.
In the agriculture sector, the county is seeking Veterinary Officers, Livestock Production Officers, Fisheries Officers and Agricultural Officers, with two positions available in each category.
The department has also advertised four Assistant Animal Health Officer III positions, five Assistant Livestock Production Officer III positions, two Inspector (Agriculture) vacancies, five Assistant Agricultural Officer III positions and five Assistant Fisheries Officer III positions.
Other openings under the countywide recruitment drive include positions in human resource management, records management, engineering, architecture, quantity surveying and plant operation.
How to Apply for Nakuru County Jobs
Interested and qualified candidates have been directed to visit the county government’s official website, nakuru.go.ke, for detailed job descriptions, specifications and other qualifications for the advertised positions.
Applications must be submitted through the website on or before Thursday, October 29, 2026.
“Hand delivered or email applications will NOT be accepted,” the Board stated.

County government has also cautioned applicants against fraudsters who demand money in exchange for promises to influence recruitment outcomes, warning that it will not be responsible for personal losses arising from such dealings.
Applicants have been advised to report suspected fraud to the police and other relevant law enforcement agencies, with board further warning that canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification, adding that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
