Share
Safaricom has rolled out its PATA MORE campaign across the Greater Western and Nyanza regions, bringing enhanced offers to customers and businesses across the two regions.
The regional launch was held at Misori Beach in Usenge, Siaya County, bringing together customers, partners, and local stakeholders to mark the campaign’s expansion.
This follows the national launch of PATA MORE, which is designed to provide customers with more value, convenience, and freedom when using Safaricom’s products and digital services.
The campaign introduces enhanced offers across data, M-PESA, devices, fibre, and business solutions, with customers set to benefit from revised packages and payment options.
It also seeks to support businesses by improving the value they receive from digital services used in their daily operations.
Among the changes are improved data allocations, revised Pochi la Biashara transaction terms, and a higher Lipa na M-PESA Buy Goods Kadogo threshold.
Customers upgrading their devices will also access bundled services that combine connectivity with device insurance.
Drivers and riders subscribed to Bundle Ya Dereva/Boda will similarly receive packages that combine connectivity with tools designed to support their work.
Customers to Benefit from Enhanced Data Offers
Under the PATA MORE campaign, Safaricom customers will receive increased data allocations across selected bundles. Customers purchasing the 250MB bundle for Ksh 20 will now receive the data for 24 hours, up from the previous allocation of 150MB.
The company has also increased its 1.5GB bundle, which will now cost Ksh 99 and remain valid for 24 hours, compared with the previous 1GB allocation.
Customers subscribing to the Ksh 1,000 monthly data bundle will receive 21.5GB, more than double the previous allocation of 10GB.
The revised packages are expected to give customers more data to use for their daily connectivity needs.
The increased allocations form part of Safaricom’s wider PATA MORE campaign, which is focused on providing greater value through its connectivity products.
This will apply to customers across the regions covered by the campaign rollout.

Pochi Kadogo Transaction Limit Increased to KES 200
Safaricom has also revised its Pochi la Biashara offering under the PATA MORE campaign, with changes aimed at giving customers and merchants more convenience when making digital payments.
Under Pochi Kadogo, customers can now make Pochi transactions of up to Ksh 200 without incurring a transaction fee.
The free transaction threshold has therefore increased from the previous Ksh 100, giving customers a higher limit for fee-free transactions.
For transactions above Ksh 200, Safaricom will cap transaction fees at Ksh 50 for the next 90 days. The revised charges are expected to provide additional convenience for customers and merchants who use Pochi la Biashara for everyday payments.
Customers will also have access to Scan and Tap to Pay as part of the enhanced payment options under the campaign.
These changes form part of Safaricom’s broader effort to provide more value through its M-PESA services.
Buy Goods Kadogo Threshold Raised to KES 500
The PATA MORE campaign also introduces changes aimed at supporting small businesses that use Lipa na M-PESA to receive payments from customers.
Safaricom has increased the Lipa na M-PESA Buy Goods Kadogo threshold from Ksh 200 to Ksh 500.
This is intended to allow merchants to retain more of their earnings as more customers use digital payment services for their purchases.
The change comes as part of the company’s efforts to enhance the value businesses receive from its digital payment solutions.
The revised threshold is expected to benefit small businesses by allowing them to handle more transactions under the Buy Goods Kadogo offering.
Safaricom said the move will support merchants as customers increasingly embrace digital payments in their daily transactions.
The company is also providing other payment options through the PATA MORE campaign, including Scan and Tap to Pay.
Together, the changes are aimed at making digital payments more convenient for both customers and businesses.
Customers to Get Devices with Added Protection
Customers looking to upgrade their smartphones will also receive additional value through bundled device and connectivity offers under the campaign.
The packages combine data, voice services and device insurance, giving customers connectivity services alongside protection for their smartphones.
Among the devices included in the offer is the Neon Ultra 2, which will be available from Ksh 55 per day.
The device comes with insurance included, allowing customers to access both a smartphone and protection as part of the package.
The device offers are intended to make it easier for customers to upgrade while continuing to access Safaricom’s connectivity services.
By combining devices with data, voice services and insurance, the packages provide multiple services under one offering.
Customers can therefore access a new device while receiving services designed to keep them connected.
The device packages form part of the wider PATA MORE campaign, which extends beyond data and payment services to include other digital products.

Drivers and Riders Get Connectivity and Work Tools
Safaricom has also enhanced its offerings for drivers and riders subscribed to Bundle Ya Dereva/Boda. The packages combine connectivity services with tools that drivers and riders can use in their daily work.
Subscribers will receive complimentary access to ride-hailing applications and Google Maps, alongside Tuunza Mapato insurance.
The combination is intended to provide both connectivity and work-enabling services within the same package.
The offers form part of PATA MORE’s focus on providing customers with greater value from the digital services they use every day.
For drivers and riders, access to navigation and ride-hailing applications can support their work, while connectivity keeps them connected to their customers and platforms.
The inclusion of Tuunza Mapato insurance also adds an insurance component to the package.
Safaricom’s expanded offers therefore cater to different customer needs, from internet access and payments to devices and work-related digital services.
