Shock as 17-Year-Old Girl Suffers Serious Injuries in Narok Attack

A 17-year-old girl is fighting for her life in a Narok hospital after a man known to her brutally assaulted her in Babong Estate on the outskirts of Narok town.
The teenager suffered severe injuries during the late-night assault, an incident that has shocked residents and sparked outrage among local leaders and child protection advocates.
According to the survivor, the attack began abruptly while she slept.
The suspect dragged her from her resting place and launched a violent assault after she rejected his sexual advances.
As the attack intensified, the suspect locked the compound, leaving the injured teenager trapped and unable to flee.
Despite her injuries, she tried to escape but found no way out.
“Trying to get out through the gate, he had locked me inside, so I didn’t know how I would get out or how I would call people to open the door for me because I didn’t know if he would cut me,” she said.
Her account reveals the fear and desperation she endured as she searched for safety.

Severe Injuries Confirmed in Narok Assault
Meanwhile, doctors confirmed the extent of her injuries, including a severely damaged arm and dental trauma caused by the assault.
The force of the attack left her in critical condition.
“I felt my arm go numb; it became heavy and hot. When I looked, he hit my mouth; I held him with one hand, and now I knew it was broken,” she added.
Medical teams continue to provide intensive care as they work to stabilize her condition.
New Details Emerge
At the same time, new information has surfaced.
The suspect’s girlfriend, Naomi, revealed that she may have been the intended target before the attacker turned his violence toward the teenager.
This development has added urgency to the ongoing investigation.

Calls for Justice
In response, local authorities have condemned the attack and called for swift action.
Pauline Naini, Narok’s Gender Officer, stressed the seriousness of the case.
“She is a child who is in need of care and protection, and we see that she has been a victim of gender-based violence,” she stated.
As the teenager continues to fight for her life, the incident underscores growing concerns over the safety of minors and the urgent need to address gender-based violence in the region.
Authorities are now pursuing the suspect as the community demands justice.
