Kenya Railways has confirmed that a freight train operated by Tata Chemicals Magadi Ltd caught fire at Simba Station. According to a public notice dated July 1, 2026, the corporation stated that the Magadi train developed a fire after mechanical damage affected the locomotive’s fuel tank. Consequently, the damage triggered fuel leakage and sparking, which
