Ufundi Co-op Plaza in Nairobi CBD Up for Sale

Ufundi Savings & Credit Co-operative Society Limited has issued a public notice on the sale of its top commercial real estate, Ufundi Co-op Plaza, through a competitive bidding process, calling for potential buyers and bidders who wish to acquire the property situated at the heart of Nairobi’s Central Business District.

According to a public tender notice issued by the Sacco, it seeks interested parties to make bids for the sale of the property located on Land Reference Number 209/2571 at the intersection of Moi Avenue and Moktar Daddah Street.

“Ufundi Sacco Society invites bids for the purchase of Ufundi Co-op Plaza on L.R. No. 209/2571,” Ufundi stated.

The notice notes that the building is a strategically located property in Nairobi’s Commercial Center.

“The property is located at the intersection of Moi Avenue and Moktar Daddah Street within the Central Business District of Nairobi County,” the tender notice read.

Ufundi Sacco Prime Commercial Asset

The Sacco disclosed that the development sits on a valuable parcel of land in the heart of the city.

“The building is on a commercial plot approximately 0.0546 hectares,” Ufundi stated.

According to the tender advertisement, the property has been fully developed and comprises a sizeable commercial complex suitable for multiple tenants and business operations.

“The plot is developed with a multi-storey building comprising 13 floors and 3 basements,” the statement said.

The Sacco noted that the structure has been maintained to acceptable commercial standards and continues to provide a conducive environment for occupants.

“The building has standard fittings and finishes,” the notice added.

It additionally highlighted the standard of maintenance and attractiveness of the property.

“The level of maintenance is good enough to attract and demand good tenants,” Ufundi assured.

The particulars of the ownership were provided in the notice as well for the investors seeking information regarding the type of ownership involved with the property, as a Leasehold title 99 years w.e.f 1st March 1988.

It offers considerable area for business purposes with room for different types of businesses to flourish, estimated to be approximately 49,000 sq. ft. lettable area.

Amenities Provided and Tender Procurement Process

The Sacco pointed out the various amenities found within the property and stated that the building has everything required for commercial purposes.

“It has all the necessary services and amenities such as electricity, telephone lines, and piped water, stand by generator, lifts, firefighting equipment, and a 24000 litres water reservoir,” the Sacco stated.

Interested bidders have been directed to obtain tender documents from the Sacco’s headquarters during official working hours.

“Tender documents detailing Ufundi Co-op Plaza may be obtained from the C.E.O’s office at Ufundi Co-op Plaza on the 12th floor on normal working days between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm,” Ufundi said.

Participation in the bidding process will require payment of a mandatory fee.

“Bidders participating in this tender will be required to pay a non-refundable fee of Ksh 5,000 for the tender documents,” the notice read.

The Sacco also outlined how completed bids should be submitted and addressed.

“Completed tender documents in plain sealed envelope clearly marked FOR TENDER and addressed to: The Chief Executive Officer, Ufundi Co-operative Savings and Credit Society Ltd, P.O. Box 11705-00400 Nairobi,” Ufundi added.

Bid Submission Deadline

In the notice, July 1, 2026, is specified as the deadline for bid submissions, along with information about how the tender documents can be deposited.

“Tender documents to be deposited in a tender box at Ufundi Sacco Society Office, 12th floor, marked Tender box, so as to be received on or before 1st July, 2026, at noon,” the Sacco stated.

The opening of the bids will take place shortly after the submission deadline, in line with public procurement transparency practices.

“Tender opening will be carried out on the same day at 1.00 pm at Ufundi Sacco Board room on the 1st floor,” Ufundi added.

Prospective bidders have also been assured of an open process, with attendance permitted during the opening exercise.

“Tenderers or their representatives are at liberty to attend the tender opening,” Ufundi concluded.
