Danser Kenya will host a free immersive music and culture showcase at Tuscany KE in Ruaka on 14 June, bringing together some of Kenya’s most celebrated contemporary artists for a one-day experience inspired by coastal aesthetics, live music and creative expression.

The event follows Danser’s recent rooftop showcase in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, which attracted attention for its blend of music, design, and community-driven experiences.

Organisers say Danser will build on that momentum in Nairobi while introducing a distinctly local interpretation of the concept.

Tuscany KE’s terrace venue will host the showcase as organisers transform the space into what they describe as a Mediterranean-inspired coastal sanctuary.

Guests will experience tropical-inspired décor, striking visual curation, and ambient staging alongside a full day of live performances.

Danser Line-Up Features Alternative and Genre-Blending Acts

The line-up features a mix of alternative, contemporary, and genre-blending acts, including Njerae, Tha Movement, Ayrosh, Chris Kaiga, Billy Black, and Mutoria.

Organisers will also reveal additional surprise appearances closer to the event.

The showcase creates an immersive environment that goes beyond live performances.

Attendees will access the exclusive Danser Body Bar, a space that offers expressive festival body art and contemporary henna applications.

Miguel McSongwe  Highlights Growing Demand for Immersive Experiences

Danser founder Miguel McSongwe said that the event responds to a growing appetite among young audiences for experiences that combine music, creativity and community more intentionally.

“Nairobi is full of incredible style and sound, but people are tired of the same predictable night out. We want to build a temporary sanctuary on the terrace where the music, the look, and the energy just click naturally,” said McSongwe.

“It is an escape from the standard club noise, an intimate space where everyone moves to the same undercover rhythm. It is less about watching a performance and more about stepping into a completely different environment that feels transportive while remaining authentically African,” he added

McSongwe further added that the Nairobi showcase forms part of a broader regional vision for Danser following recent activations outside Kenya.

“The energy we witnessed on the Addis rooftop proved to us that this pan-African movement is very real,” he said

“We are dropping this Nairobi showcase as a low-key, free pop-up for our core community before the wave moves onwards. If you find your way onto the terrace on Sunday, you become part of the shift,” he added.

RSVP for Free Entry Due to Limited Capacity

The event also gives emerging and established artists a platform to engage audiences in a more intimate setting while showcasing the continued growth of Kenya’s alternative music scene.

Organisers will limit entry due to venue capacity regulations, even though attendance remains free.

Organisers encourage attendees to register online in advance to secure an RSVP entry pass.

Nairobi’s entertainment scene continues to evolve as experiences that merge live performance, visual culture, and community engagement gain prominence, placing events like the Tuscany showcase at the centre of a growing creative economy driven by young audiences.
