Tana River Sugar Company Limited has announced multiple job vacancies as it moves to establish a commercial sugarcane plantation and processing facility in Bura, Tana River County.

The company said it is seeking qualified candidates to fill roles across key departments as it expands operations and strengthens Kenya’s sugar industry.

The firm is recruiting for the following roles:

• Farm Stores Officer: TRSC/SCL/FSO/2026 – 1 post
• Quality Assurance Officer: Jaggery – TRSC/PRD/JQAO/2026 – 1 post
• Supervisor – Jaggery: TRSC/PRD/JS/2026 – 1 post
• Community Liaison Officers: TRSC/QHSE/CLO/2026 – 2 posts
• Lands Surveyor: TRSC/ENG/PLS/2026 – 1 post
• Bulk Water & Irrigation Engineer: TRSC/CD/BWIE/2026 – 1 post
• Agricultural & Land Development Engineer: TRSC/CD/ALDE/2026 – 1 post

All positions are based in Bura, Tana River County and the company expects successful candidates to work wherever the project requires.

Project Goals

Additionally, the company aims to create jobs, build skills and drive economic growth in local communities as it prepares for its first cane and sugar production.

“As we work towards our first cane and first sugar, we want people who take pride in doing careful work well, hold themselves to high standards of safety and environmental care, and want to help redefine Kenya’s sugar industry and set a new standard for how it is done,” the company added.

Requirements for Application 

To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Kenyan citizenship (preferred)
• Relevant academic qualifications and professional certifications for the role
• A strong work ethic and a track record of doing things well
• Willingness to reside and work in Bura, Tana River County, or where the work demands
