KISE Announces Recruitment for Multiple Vacancies

The Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) has announced multiple job vacancies across key departments and invites qualified candidates to apply before the August 14, 2026 deadline.
To begin with, the institute seeks to strengthen its workforce in human resource management, transport services nd therapy support as it expands service delivery in special needs education.
KISE has advertised the following vacancies as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen service delivery across key departments:
- Assistant Director Human Resource Management: Ref: KISE/HR/1/2026 — Grade: KISE 4 — No. of Posts: 1 — Terms: Contract
- Driver III: Ref: KISE/HR/2/2026 — Grade: KISE 12 — No. of Posts: 3 — Terms: Permanent
- Ambulance Driver II: Ref: KISE/HR/3/2026 — Grade: KISE 11 — No. of Posts: 2 — Terms: Permanent
- Assistant Therapist III: Ref: KISE/HR/4/2026 — Grade: KISE — No. of Posts: 3 — Terms: Contract
Kenya Institute of Special Education Application Process and Requirements
Meanwhile, the institute directs all interested and qualified candidates to submit their applications through its official recruitment portal.
The portal outlines detailed job descriptions, requirements for each role, and clear instructions on how to apply.
Importantly, applicants must submit their applications not later than August 14, 2026, at 5:00 pm

Warning Against Canvassing
At the same time, the institute cautions applicants to follow recruitment guidelines and avoid any form of influence, emphasizing transparency and accountability.
“Only shortlisted and successful candidates will be contacted. Canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification,” The institute stated.
The institute also confirmed that it offers all recruitment services free of charge.
Furthermore, the institute underscored its commitment to fair hiring practices and inclusive opportunities for all qualified candidates.

About the Institute
Notably, the institute operates as a semi-autonomous government agency under the Ministry of Education, established through Legal Notice No. 17 of February 14, 1986.
The institute trains teachers and professionals in special needs education and disabilities.
It also conducts research, develops and maintains assistive devices, disseminates information to the public and offers functional assessment services for children with special needs and disabilities.
