Solfest has announced the postponement of its Solfest On The Road 2026 editions scheduled for Nakuru and Kisumu, citing factors beyond its control.
In an immediate release dated August 15 addressed to its fans in the two counties, the festival organisers said the Nakuru and Kisumu editions of the SolFest On The Road nationwide tour had been postponed to a later date.
“SOLFEST HAS MAINTAINED A LONG REPUTATION FOR TORTIER FESTIVAL EXPERIENCES, AND WE DON’T PLAN TO CHANGE THAT NOW. TO OUR SOLFEST FAMILY IN NAKURU AND KESUMU, DUE TO FACTORS BEYOND OUR CONTROL, THE KISUMU AND NAKURU EDITIONS OF THE ARBANSOL NATIONWIDE TOUR HAVE BEEN POSTPONED.”

It’s Foundation and Growth
Solfest was founded by award-winning Kenyan music group Sauti Sol and Sol Generation and has grown into a major music and cultural platform in East Africa.
The festival was created to celebrate Kenyan music, culture and creativity while providing a platform for local artists to reach both Kenyan and international audiences.

Since its inception, Sauti Sol has traditionally headlined the festival, although the organisers have since sought to give other talented Kenyan musicians an opportunity to take centre stage.
The annual main event in Nairobi attracts large crowds, while the Solfest On The Road tour was introduced to take the festival experience beyond the capital and connect with audiences in key regional cities while showcasing Arbantone and other Kenyan sounds.
