Kenya Power Announces Planned Power Interruptions in Several Counties on June 4

Kenya Power has announced planned electricity interruptions in several parts of the country on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
The utility company said the outages are necessary to allow network maintenance and improve power supply reliability.
Kenya Power released the notice on June 3, giving customers advance notice to prepare for the temporary disruption.
The planned interruptions will affect customers in Nairobi, Nakuru, Kiambu, Uasin Gishu, Kakamega, Kisii, Kilifi and Kwale counties.
Nairobi Region
Donholm, Jacaranda and Soweto Areas
Power will be unavailable from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Areas to be affected include Salute Apartment, Umoja 2 SDA, Davana Hotel, Jacaranda Estate, Carmel Vale, Edenvale Schools, Donholm Phase 8, Greenspan Mall and Estate, parts of Nasra Estate, Sosion, Shujaa Mall, Patanisho Hospital, Soweto and nearby customers.
Parts of Karen
Power will also be interrupted from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Affected areas include Langata South Road, Kenya School of Law, Ndalati Road, Bogaani Road, parts of Ndege Road, parts of Siranga Road, Nzohe Road, Kumbe Road, Baobab Estate, JKUAT, Ndovu Road, parts of Kipevu Road, Fahari Close, Kasuku Close, Kwarara Road and surrounding customers.
Kenya Power Announces Planned Outage in Parts of Central Rift Region
Naivasha DCK, Nakuru County
The outage will run from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Areas affected include Gorge Farm, Flamingo, parts of KenGen Housing, Kongoni, Oloiden, Kinja Nurseries, Mundui, Hippo Point, Wileli, Rain Forest, Duro, Aquila, Ndabibi, Eburru Hills Farm, Evergreen Herbs, Evergreen Avocados, Gathondia, Moi Ndabi, Sero, Tangi Tatu Ng’ondi, Sagutiek, Maiella, Enasambulai and nearby customers.
Parts of Limuru Town, Auto Springs and Gituitha,
Kiambu County
Electricity supply will be interrupted from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Affected areas include parts of Limuru Town Shopping Centre, Karanjee, Kwambira, Kamirithu, Tharuini, Stephjoy Boys, Rwacumaria, Kamonoru, Ndiuni, Nyataragi, Thigio, Thigio Boroti, Gichungo, Kiriri and surrounding customers.
North Rift Region
Oasis, Neema, Kimuri and Royalton in Uasin Gishu County
Power will be unavailable from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
The affected areas include Neema School, Blossom, Oasis Bible College, Royalton, Nandi Gaa, Kimuri and nearby customers.

Western Region
Malava Area, Kakamega County
The interruption will take place from 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Areas affected include Samitsi, Malanga, Malava Market, Kampi Kwanza Market, Shamberere, West Kenya Sugar, KWS, Kambiri Market, Shanderema, Ileho, Inguvuli and adjacent customers.
South Nyanza Region
Parts of Kisii County
Power will be interrupted from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Affected areas include Kenyenya Primary School, Nyangweta SDA Secondary School, Etago Market, Nyansembe, Nyakeyo, Suguta, Moticho, Engou, Nyabera, Nyamaiya, Ekona, Mogenda, Ochodororo, Maroon and surrounding customers.
Kegati, Kiogoro and Itumbe Areas
The outage will also affect Kegati Market, Rianyamwamu Tea, Riabamanyi, Matibo, Nyanguru, Nyaguta, Riangome Nene, Itumbe Tea, Matunwa, Itumbe Market, Kamel Park, Kiogoro Market and nearby customers.

Coast Region
Mtangani and Mijikenda Residence, Kilifi County
Electricity supply will be interrupted from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Affected areas include parts of Malindi, Alaskan, Mtangani, Sunpark, Savannah, Raia, Majivuni, Kiddie Star, Mgurureni, Mijikenda Residence, Marafa, Wakala, Mambrui, Karibuni Villas, Last Beach, Angels Bay, Garashi and surrounding customers.
Kinagoni and Vigurungani, Kwale County
Power will be unavailable from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Areas affected include Kinagoni, Chigutu, Mdomo, Vigurungani, Bang’a TTC and nearby customers.
Kwale Town, Kinango and Tiribe
The outage will also affect Kwale Town, Ziwani, Golini, Madabara 1 and 2, Kinango, Tiribe, Ndavaya and surrounding customers from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Customers Advised to Plan Ahead
Kenya Power has advised customers in the affected areas to plan ahead and take the necessary measures during the scheduled maintenance period.
The company said customers can access the latest outage schedules through its official advance notice platform and should always check the most recent date for updated information in their sites.
