KPC Appoints Five Non-Executive Directors in Board Shake-Up

Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) has announced the appointment of five new Non-Executive Directors, effective July 28, 2026.
The appointments were publicized in a notice signed by the General Manager (Legal Services) and Company Secretary, Flora Okoth, dated 29 July 2026.
“The Board of Directors of Kenya Pipeline Company PLC (KPC) hereby notifies shareholders, the investing public, and all stakeholders that it has appointed the following individuals as Non-Executive directors of the company with effect from 28th, July 2026.” The board announced.
The directors also noted that the Board appointed Dr. Ramathan Ggoobi, Ms. Irene Pauline Bateebe, Eng. Meshack Otieno Kidenda, Mr. Samson Kipkemboi Burgei and CPA Ronald Kenyanya Nyamos as Non-Executive Directors.
As announced, Dr. Ramathan Ggoobi, an economist and public policy expert, is joining the board as a member and as Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury at the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development of Uganda.
The other appointee was Ms. Irene Pauline Bateebe from Uganda’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development.
A Permanent Secretary, she brings extensive experience in energy policy, infrastructure planning, and institutional restructuring.
The board also appointed Eng. Meshack Otieno Kidenda as its consulting engineer.
He brings more than 40 years of experience in infrastructure development, transport engineering, and public administration.
Other Kenya Pipeline Company Board Members and their Roles
Other board members appointed include Samson Kipkemboi Burgei, the Technical Advisor for Treasury Cash Management, and CPA Ronald Kenyanya Nyamosi, NSSF’s General Manager for Finance and Investments.
In the notice, the Board said it “warmly welcomes the new Directors and looks forward to working with them in their governance roles.”

KPC Alternative Directors
CPA Timothy Kindoki Mungai is the Alternate Director to the Managing Trustee and CEO of NSSF.
It further stated that the appointments “will assist in the effective discharge of the Board’s oversight role and facilitate the ongoing enhancement of KPC’s strategic goals and its sustainability for the long term as well as its commitment to high standards of corporate governance”.
In the announcement, it mentioned that the appointments were made on July 28, 2026.
