KMTC Announces 73 Vacancies Across Multiple Health Disciplines: How to Apply

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has announced a recruitment exercise, inviting qualified professionals to apply for 73 lecturer positions across eight health-related disciplines before the June 30, 2026, deadline.

In a notice dated June 9, 2026, the institution said it is seeking qualified, experienced, and results-oriented professionals to fill teaching positions across various specialized fields.

The KMTC Board of Directors seeks to recruit competent, result-oriented, knowledgeable, dynamic, visionary, and experienced persons to fill the following vacant positions tenable at the Kenya Medical Training College,” read part of the notice.

According to KMTC, the largest number of vacancies is in the Nursing Department, where 30 Lecturer II positions have been declared vacant.

The college is also seeking to recruit 10 Lecturer II officers in Community Health and eight in Mortuary Science.

Other advertised positions include Lecturer II roles in Emergency Medical Technician, Health Insurance, Medical Engineering, Orthopaedic Technology, and Orthopaedic Trauma and Medicine.

  How to Apply

KMTC has directed interested candidates to submit their applications online through its recruitment portal, noting that hard-copy applications will not be accepted.

Applicants are required to provide accurate information during the application process and ensure all academic and professional qualifications listed have been obtained before the closure of the advertisement.

The institution further warned that presenting fake certificates or documents is a criminal offence and could lead to disqualification.

Additionally, KMTC noted that successful candidates will be required to provide clearance certificates from several government agencies before receiving appointment letters.

These include tax compliance clearance from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB), and a valid Certificate of Good Conduct issued by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

The college also highlighted that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and warned that any form of canvassing would result in automatic disqualification.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to present original copies of their national identification cards, academic certificates, professional certificates, and transcripts during interviews.
