Kenyan Blogger and Father of Renowned Child Actress Stycie Waweru Found Dead in US

Kenyan blogger Joseph Njata, 47, has been identified as the man whose body was recovered from Medical Lake in Washington State, USA.

Authorities said preliminary investigations found no evidence of foul play, although they have not established the official cause and manner of death.

According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office and the Medical Examiner, first responders responded after a passerby spotted a body in the water.

The rescue team, including dive officers and Major Crimes detectives, searched the south end of Medical Lake near South Lefevre Street.

However, investigators said they are still examining the circumstances surrounding Njata’s death.

They are currently expecting the medical examiner’s findings to determine the cause and manner of death.

“This man was always on my Facebook timeline. I thought about him yesterday and wondered where he had gone. In 2022, he championed William Ruto’s campaign, though he later became a critic. However, he always remained objective and respectful,” Mwangi said.

Mwangi also praised Joseph Njata ‘s daughter, Stycie Waweru, for her achievements in the entertainment industry. He noted that Stycie has appeared on Churchill Show and JKL.

She has also met former President Uhuru Kenyatta and worked with Disney, where she voiced Enkai in Kizazi Moto. According to Mwangi, Njata often described himself as a teacher. He concluded his tribute by expressing condolences to the grieving family.

Meanwhile, authorities have not disclosed how long the body remained in the water before it was discovered.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said investigations are ongoing and that it will release more information after the medical examiner completes the necessary examinations.
