Kenya Railways has launched an ambitious plan to transform Nairobi’s commuter rail system through the Kenya Urban Mobility Improvement Project (KUMIP) in partnership with the World Bank. The project targets faster, cleaner, and more efficient rail services while aligning transport systems with land use planning across the Nairobi Metropolitan Area and key commuter corridors. “The
