Nine startups in the second cohort of the Spark Accelerator Programme pitched their businesses to investors and venture capital firms at the Spark Accelerator Investor Demo Day, held at the Michael Joseph Centre (MJC) on Friday, May 15, 2026.
The event marked the final stage of the three-month accelerator programme organised by Safaricom PLC in partnership with M-PESA Africa and Sumitomo Corporation, with iHub as the implementing partner.
The programme helps young businesses grow through training, mentorship, funding opportunities and market support.
The Investor Demo Day gave startups a chance to present their ideas to investors who are looking for promising businesses to support.

She said the founders had gained valuable knowledge in technology, marketing, business growth and partnerships.
“We looked at our strategy and said these are the startups that we want to work with in the long term,” she said.
